REALITALIA . MEET THE EXPERTS IN THE UTOPIA OF ITALIAN PROPERTY
Renown for its authentic cuisine, picturesque landscapes, history and convivial hospitality, Italy is one of the most highly visited countries in the world. Whether you are living la dolce vita in iconic places such as Portofino, Lake Como, the canals of Venice, tasting wine in the Tuscan countryside or simply eating a heavenly Margherita pizza in Napoli, you can be sure of one thing…Italy has taught us the art of enjoying life.
Luca Catalano, LLM, the CEO of RealItalia, a company dedicated to the sale and design of award-winning boutique properties in unique undiscovered areas in Italy held by Realinvest Ltd, had a penchant in his heart for his native country and a vision of making Italy more accessible to foreign buyers.
Along with his long time German business partner Tanja Haug, they wanted to create homes for pleasure in quality projects respecting the local communities and environment that were located in unspoilt and in some cases undiscovered areas of Italy.
For the last 20 years, Luca has been developing the Italian the second home market by blending the historical charm of old properties and restoring them with the comforts and technology of modern living. An attractive product tailored to foreign buyers with a hassle-free foreign buying experience that only an expert in the sale of Italian properties can provide.
“As an Italian, I love my country: its heritage, history and culture. I love the many historical buildings which have shaped the appearance of villages yet sadly have suffered from neglect. Like an artist with an old painting, my joy is bringing back to life something which a craftsman created many years ago. “ explains Luca.
Today, RealItalia’s unique projects can be found throughout Italy, from the Ligurian coast to the Tuscan countryside, and up to the Italian Alps. All of the projects are environmentally sustainable, low impact energy efficient and socially responsible.
The luxury of nature in the Italian Alps
RealItalia’s newest project is Ski Chalets Limone (www.skichaletslimone.com) custom luxury ski chalets built off-plan and situated in the prestigious Villa Almellina Estates.
This luxury mountain resort project also includes a hotel and stays true to the RealItalia vision of providing modern living facilities within the framework of handsome older properties with the construction of exceptionally large luxury ski chalets. The project is in collaboration with Fantino Costruzioni, a multigenerational family of builders renowned for their quality craftsmanship and artistry in construction.
Located in the mountain resort of Limone, just 85km from Monaco and both the French and Italian Rivieras, this luxury residential project consists of a total of 10 chalets and a hotel, all located just a 5-minute walk to the village and the ski slopes.
Boasting beautiful mountain views, this is one of Limone’s first true luxury home projects that are built with the latest energy-efficient technology, home automation, and even includes private indoor spas and heated ski lockers.
While the construction of this project is still underway, they recently completed the building of Holiday Home Chalet 2 and for the first time are offering this home for sale fully furnished and equipped.
A true turnkey property that is ready for immediate occupation for those urgently looking to enjoy the natural environment of the mountains either seasonally or year-round.
Encapsulating the Art of Good Living
One of the most challenging projects they contributed to was Colletta di Castelbianco, a delicate restoration of an abandoned 13th-century hilltop medieval village into an E-Village located only 15 minutes from Ligurian Riviera.
The Project received the Gold Award for “Best Renovation” for exceptional homes and was designed by RIBA Royal Gold Medal award-winning architect Giancarlo De Carlo. The project also won the attention and investment by Dragon Den’s astute entrepreneurial businessman Peter Moule, who was so impressed with the standard of development decided instantly to purchase a flat right then and there.
The project continued receiving prestigious accolades and media attention appearing on “Home and Garden TV International House Hunters.
The Verdant Charm of Tuscany with the Bocelli Family
Located in the centre of the medieval village of Lajatico, the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli, RealItalia set out to contribute to the restoration of a historical residence in collaboration with architect Alberto Bocelli, the brother of world-class opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
An area of supreme charm with a landscape similar to that of a Da Vinci painting, they were able to intertwine the conservation of its historical origins with a modern living facility for the project Ville degli Olivi.
Ville degli Olivi is conveniently located just a minute from the village centre, offering spectacular open views of the soft rolling countryside from the 2,000 sq. meter olive orchards with the pool area and solarium nestled inside the peaceful garden. All of the homes and flats are wired with intelligent technology and offer the same views from their terraces and gardens.
Luca shares a special moment while on a discovery trip to Chianni and Lajatico, “As if in a final sign of fate, I met local famed architect Alberto Bocelli who shared my vision for the work in the area. Through his influence, I was able to stay true to the RealItalia vision while accomplishing tasks quickly in the region. Local builders and developers agreed to partner with us, making it possible to get things done not usually afforded to outsiders. This project was truly a collaborative effort, and I am sure that our spirit of camaraderie will carry on in the atmosphere of our homes in beautiful Tuscany”.
A sustainable jewel on the Ligurian Coast
A waterfront project where RealItalia exercised its commitment to forward-thinking environmental veritas is located on the Ligurian coast with Dominio Mare Resort and Spa, a holiday home seaside development with a 900 square meters wellness spa and fitness centre.
Tailored for a foreign clientele, Dominio Mare is one of the very few examples of a properly managed privately owned second home residential project in the area (65 properties overall), where the owners can take advantage of a true internationally promoted rental system.
Dominio MARE also offers a private beach (in concessione consorziata), a restaurant, tennis court, superiorly situated in a 4 hectares super panoramic private park. Green roofs and no heating needed due to its environmental friendly way of construction.
