CHAMPAGNE J.M. TISSIER

CHAMPAGNE J.M. TISSIER . FAMILY WINEMAKERS SINCE 1931

Jacques Tissier represents the 3rd generation of the family, succeeding his father Jean-Marie and his grandfather Diogenes who have been able to build the family estate since 1931. In 1989, Jacques Tissier met Marie-Christine during the harvest at the Tissier estate.

Jacques had been working in the family company since he was 14 and cultivated the hectares bequeathed by his father. After having followed with admiration in his father's footsteps and thanks to the family understanding, Jacques took up the torch of the tradition. Under the impetus of Marie-Christine and in the desire to promote quality champagne, they founded their own house together. On July 31, 1998, Champagne J.M. Tissier was born and will find its soul in the know-how of the grandfather of Jacques “Diogenes”.

An attraction to the culture of the vine and to the production of champagne in the passion carries from los Marie-Christine and Jacques in their creations. Gradually, together, they develop their operations, united by their vision of the work of a winegrower: Perseverance, forecasting and precision. Marie-Christine and Jacques have two sons, Gaëtan and Anthony. Three generations have inherited the family know-how and the 4th generation producer is on the way.

After wine studies, Gaëtan discovered Australia on different farms and perfected his English, Anthony is a wine worker in Damery. A few years to learn, and it is clear that the Tissier family has passed on their passion for viticulture from father to son since 1931.

At the beginning of January 2021 Anthony got involved in the field. Today, Marie-Christine and Jacques have sculpted an authentic and refined range composed of Champagnes and Spirits that they offer to their lovers to share their hedonistic vision of life ... and of Champagne.
