Monaco is one of the most iconic destinations on the Formula 1 calendar, with the Monaco Grand Prix being one of the most prestigious events in the motorsport’s world as well as the most challenging in the championship calendar. Every year, thousands of fans from around the world come to Monte Carlo to watch the race and experience the glamour and excitement of the weekend. The narrow streets of Monte Carlo provide a unique challenge for drivers and an unforgettable experience for spectators. There’s no better way to experience the race than from a prime viewing spot.

CMX Events is one of the market leaders in providing the highest standard Hospitality packages, right in the heart of the action. Private terraces, yacht viewing, access to private parties, “money can’t buy” experiences - CMX offers the ultimate viewing options for the world’s greatest race.

For those who seek the ultimate Monaco GP experience, CMX Hospitality Suites offer an unparalleled view of the race, providing only the best viewing locations and guaranteeing the most global race viewings that exist on the Monaco circuit. The suites are carefully selected and perfectly appointed, ranging from smaller capacities through to larger contemporary penthouses, all the way to an exceptional choice of stunning rooftop terraces with large capacities and incredible views. Watch the cars speed past from the comfort of your own private balcony whilst sipping champagne and enjoying gourmet food all day long. Located on the start / finish line, with the entire port as beautiful backdrop and with spectacular views of the cars accelerating up the hill, these are among the best places to see the cars at high speed and enjoy the stunning scenery. The private suitE hospitality is also the perfect choice for large groups or corporate events.

Yacht Hospitality
For those looking to feel the vibrations of the roaring engines right under their feet, yacht hospitality is an excellent option. The cars race right in front of the guests with the fast-spinning TYRES burning!  There are various yachts available, all anchored in the harbour, each offering a unique and luxurious experience. The yacht package includes a private viewing deck with a prime view of the track, gourmet catering, an open bar.

VIP Lodges

Primarily reserved for F1 Teams, sponsors, and suppliers, the VIP lodges are situated above Grandstand T, between the Swimming Pool and ‘La Rascasse’, providing an excellent view of the Formula 1 garages, the pit lane, the track, and the large spectator screens. Champagne open bar, gourmet buffet lunch served by a renowned caterer, boat transfer and even visit of the pits, are just a few of the perks the guests can get whilst watching the race in a VIP lodge.

Grandstand Seating
If you prefer a more budget-friendly viewing experience, consider booking a seat in one of the many grandstands around the circuit. The grandstand tickets offer a better view of the action, and you can enjoy the race with an unobstructed view. The most popular grandstands are the K Grandstand, which provides a fantastic view of the cars coming out of the tunnel, and the Grandstand B, which overlooks the famous Casino Square.

MONACO GP’S AFTER-PARTIES
The Monaco Grand Prix is not just about the race itself but also the parties that happen after the race. The after parties are just as important as the race itself, and the options are numerous. CMX can get you access (even a last minute one!) to some of the most popular parties in the principality.

Amber Lounge is certainly one of the most famous and prestigious after-parties in the world of motorsports. The VIP party is held over three nights and is attended by some of the world's most high-profile celebrities, drivers, and team members.

Located on the rooftop of the Fairmont Hotel, with stunning views of the harbour and the race circuit, Nikki Beach hosts a VIP party during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. The party features live music, DJs, and dancers, and the dress code is beach chic, making it a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

The well renowned Italian restaurant, Cipriani, also hosts an after-party during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend. The party features live music, DJs, and an exclusive guest list of drivers, team members, and high-profile celebrities. The dress code is black-tie, making it one of the most sophisticated and glamorous events in the principality.

A Journey Through the Lilac Lavender Fields of Provence with Giulia Garello

Imagine that it is June, the summer vacations have just started, and the sun is shining with its most stunning tints. The temptation to plan a weekend far from the city is becoming more and more intense due to the lengthy days and the increasing heat. Many of you are unaware that now is the ideal time to travel to the Provence Alpe Côte d'Azur region. This region, which is in the southern part of the French territory, has a wonderful temperature and is convenient to both the sea and the mountains, making it a great place for anybody who enjoys both.

Long walks in the highlands, historic medieval villages located on vast swaths of hilly terrain, and hidden coves all make up this beautiful region. From the end of June to the end of August, there is something even more unique and fascinating to see: the vast fields of lavender that are in bloom and fill the air with their sweet fragrance. There are several varieties, but lavender and lavandino are the two that are most common. The second, which has a noticeably bigger look and is more prevalent in the plains, is the one that is most common in this region and is  the one from which fragrances and cosmetics items are made with. The first, which is little, is easier to locate in the mountains.

Several itineraries have been previously established and to which many visitors refer, but just one of them has been chosen for this article, focused on a stay of luxury and complete relaxation.

A great Relais & Chateaux that offers a wonderful stay to detach from the frantic daily life and get back in touch with nature can be found in the town of Mane, an hour from Aix en Provence and an hour and a half from Saint-Rémy de Provence (a vital region for lavender cultivation). You might explore the area and take in its beauty and wonder, such as the tiny stone-built town from the eleventh century, thanks to its  proximity to the historic center. Just outside the center, you can admire two architectural pearls of inestimable value such as the priory of Salagon and the castle of Sauvan.

Due to the creation of the garden at the French Embassy, the latter in reality most recently received the designation in 2022 as a "Living Historical Monument" (still nearing completion). For historical reasons, they have really been abandoned and destroyed for years, and it is only now that the current owners seem to have noticed the previous magnificence. Even though it is a private residence (you may request it to organize private events), its depositaries welcome visitors and share these incredibly lovely places with them.

Even the hotel, which also is located on a hill close to the town of Mane, is an older building.  It was a convent in 1600, but it has since received a thorough modernization while preserving its original medieval structure. There are tennis and golf courts, a swimming pool where you may cool down during the sweltering summer days, and a spa where "le Occitane" products are used.

In order to aid and support the local activity of farmers who cultivate it, this brand was established in 1976 in this region surrounded by lavender plantations (the primary scent of the brand that analyzes all the components according to aromatherapy). In order to guarantee the use of quality natural ingredients and a sustainable supply, they pay special attention to how their goods are made.

According to a statement from one of their partners, Jean Boenle, "Our firm specializes in the creation of premium lavender PDO" (Protected Designation of Origin - AOC). We purchase seeds that have been approved by the French Institute of Aromatic, Medicinal, and Aromatic Plants in order to produce this variety of lavender from seeds. In contrast to hybrid and clonal lavender which are developed from cuttings, we cultivate our plants. In order to transfer seedlings into our fields, we sow in greenhouses. We are quite sure about the source of our lavender.

Therefore, choosing to stay at the Relais would allow you to fully appreciate this product because not only would you be close  and be able to see the source of the raw material with your own eyes, but you would also be testing it out on yourself to have a 360-degree experience.

The Automobile Club of Monaco Releases Le Film - Rallye Monte-Carlo 2022

The Monte-Carlo Rally is arguably the most unpredictable race of the entire WRC season, with the paved streets of southern France made treacherous by the harsh winter weather. The Automobile Club of Monaco has released this incredible film, keep watching - it’s awesome action!

Star drive
When Sébastien Loeb’s name cropped up on the entry list in M-Sport Ford’s Puma Rally1 car, we knew we were going to witness something special. But not this special.

There was something magical about watching the semi-retired 47-year-old Frenchman jump in a brand-new car after two weeks at the Dakar and prove that he’s still got it.

M-Sport managing director Malcolm Wilson may have been the happiest man in Monaco on Sunday afternoon, but Loeb’s stellar performance etched a smile on the faces of rally fans worldwide.”

Custom Catamaran GIZMO Built for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco Sold in Bidding Frenzy, Reflecting Record-Breaking Yacht Sales

Yachting enthusiasts entered a bidding war in a rare opportunity to purchase a custom catamaran built for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco, reflecting today’s fast-moving, record-breaking yachting market.

M/Y GIZMO is an exquisite 45-metre boat and is just one of six limited-edition designs. Built in 2012 with comfort and adventure in mind, M/Y GIZMO is designed for entertaining, boasting a large aft deck and a light-filled interior salon featuring panoramic 360-degree views of the water and a modern configuration. Exquisitely maintained, catamaran GIZMO was originally purchased by an experienced yachtsman as a tender for his racing yacht.

Catamaran GIZMO was sold above the asking price
 – a rarity in the yacht market - in a unique closing by a Worth Avenue Yachts Seattle yacht broker Diego Gomez.

Since the start of the pandemicyacht sales have soared as an increasing number of wealthy individuals have sought the safe and private environment that yachts offer.

According to BOAT Pro data, the second half of 2020 was the best on record for brokerage sales since 2009, with the final three months of 2020 seeing more boats sold than any other quarter on record.

Gomez noted that at the start of the pandemic, Seattle yacht sales were driven predominantly by either small day boats or larger powerboats that could accommodate family groups while still allowing them to maintain social distance. However, he notes that catamaran GIZMO found its niche market as life started to return to a new normal and people began to gather once again.

As the pandemic wore on, and things began to open, vaccines arrived, and people started travelling and getting together more, the desire to be together, entertain, and socialize became the preference, and that is where catamaran GIZMO shines,” Gomez explained.

Such was the demand for catamaran GIZMO that Gomez had to handle multiple offers at once, with four offers escalating throughout the negotiation phase, with a further offer coming in at the contract stage. With a combination of both in-house offers and co-op buyers, it was vital that Gomez handled all the offers to the highest ethical standards.

The hardest moment, however, was when the final two buyers both expressed that they had to have the boat,” Gomez stated. “I’ve never had two buyers who were perfect for a boat at the same time, and truthfully only one boat like it to sell them. To finally find the right buyer for such a unique boat that is not designed for the mass market was very rewarding.”

A SELLER’S MARKET

Such is the demand for luxury yachts that the yachting market is currently in favour of the seller.

According to luxury yacht brokerages, yachts are going into the contract stage within days of being listed, with some being sold before they are even formally listed. An increasing number of yachts, such as catamaran GIZMO, are now being sold for above the asking price as multiple buyers enter a bidding frenzy.

Gomez noted that in today’s fast-moving luxury yacht market, buyers should consider time, price, and risk when making their final offer to ensure it is the most competitive. Offering higher deposits and considering escalationcauses can all work in the buyer’s favour.

As 2021 continues to break yacht brokerage sales, buyers will need to put in place robust offers to remain competitive and help them secure their ideal yacht.

ABOUT WORTH AVENUE YACHTS

Worth Avenue Yacht was founded in 2011 by industry leaders Michael Mahan and Brian Tansey. With 30 years of experience in the yachting industry, Michael saw the need for a fresh and innovative approach to luxury yacht sales and charter—in fact, he believed an entirely new yacht brokerage business model was called for. Today, Worth Avenue Yacht’s cohesive, team-based attitude is what sets it head and shoulders above the rest, selling yachts on average nearly three times faster than the competition and with offices across the US and Monaco.

Another Incredible Success - Monaco Hosts an Exceptional 2021 F1 Grand Prix as the Flying Dutchman Max Verstappen Takes Victory

The 2021 Monaco GP was an enthralling event, with this year’s edition living up to its hype and prestige. Charles Leclerc was supposed to start the race as he was the fastest driver in qualifying ahead of Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas in 2nd and 3rd respectively. However, due to a crash at the end of Saturday, which damaged his left driveshaft, he could not start the race. Another prominent driver who had a rather bad race was Mercedes’ Valterri Bottas, could not finish because of a wheel issue during a pit stop.

At the end, Verstappen emerged victorious in pole position, making him the leader of the driver’s standings for the first time in his career. Carlos Sainz drove home in second place, winning his first podium for Ferrari. Lando Norris of Mclaren finished 3rd in the beautiful special edition car used just for Monaco. Segio Perez and Sebastien Vettel were forth and fifth respectively, after a great race from both drivers. Vettel won his first points for his new team Aston Martin, while also winning the best driver of the day award.

About the Monaco Grand Prix

Monaco Grand Prix is one of the biggest races of the calendar year. It has a unique combination of history, prestige and excitement that only a few events have. In fact, Monaco GP, Indianapolis 500 and Le Mans 24 hours make up the Triple Crown of the most prestigious races in the world.  To go with that, it is also the only F1 race in the world to take place inside a city, using the normal roads instead of a specific track. Today we are going to have a look at what makes the Monaco GP so special.

The race itself predates the current F1 world championship; it was first organized in 1929 by the Automobile Club de Monaco under auspices of Prince Louis II. On April 14, William Grover-Williams won the first ever race while driving a Bugatti Type 35B.

The race quickly gained importance in the few years after it’s inception. However, from 1938 to 1947 it was not held due to demand for high appearance fees and later the second world war. Another notable cancellation was in 1949 due to the unfortunate death of the Prince.

Ever since 1950, the race has been officially included in the Formula One World Driver’s Championship, with F1 legend Fangio winning the first edition. During the 1960’s, British driver Graham Hill came to be known as “the king of Monaco” for winning 5 GP races held in the country. He was the most successful driver before the implementation of new Armco safety barriers on the track in the 1970’s. These barriers were put as a result of accidents like Alberto Ascari and Paul Hawkins, where the cars ended up in the harbor waters.

After Hill, there were very few other drivers who were very successful at the Monaco GP – the Brazilian Ayrton Senna has won the race a record 6 times. Michael Schumacher, along with Hill, have won it 5 times; while Alain Prost closely follows with 4 times. Current world champion Lewi Hamilton has won the race 3 times, along with Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart and Nico Rosberg. The most successful team at the race has been McLaren, with 15 wins. Ferrari and Mercedes are a bit behind with 10 and 8 wins respectively.

The Grand Prix circuit de Monaco, along with Monza in Italy is the only track to have had the same circuit ever since it’s inception. The track itself has a total length of about 3.3 kms, making it one of the shortest in the entire season. However, the elevation changes, tight corners and a narrow course makes it one of the most demanding ones in the history of the competition.

Without a doubt, the coming race would be one of the marquee motorsport events of 2021.

Launch of the “Genoa Superyacht Hub” Project - Amico & Co and Pesto Sea Group Market Genoa as the Ideal Year-Round Home Port for Superyachts

Genoa strengthens its leadership with investments in infrastructures and urban transformation. A project to promote the area internationally, aiming to further boost the economy relating to super and mega yachts.

Already among the main destinations for super and megayachts in the Mediterranean where on average more than 70% of the global superyacht fleet cruises, Genoa has further strengthened its leadership by investing in urban transformation and new infrastructures for hosting and managing large yachts.

For this reason, Amico & Co, leader in Europe and amongst the top three in the world in the superyacht repair and refitting sector, together with Pesto Sea Group, a market leader offering superyacht incoming services, yacht agency services and bunkering, are launching “Genoa Superyacht Hub”.

The project was created with the desire of promoting the excellence of the companies’ combined incoming, assistance, technical and hospitality services, specifically targeting these towards the international superyacht community in a synergic and efficient way, as well as valorising the cultural and environmental characteristics and the quality of life that the Genoese territory, Liguria and Northern Italy in general have to offer.

Genoa Superyacht Hub has as its objective that of reaching, in an effective and targeted way, yacht Owners and Captains, yacht and charter managers, crew members and technical staff, responding to each of their specific requirements through a wide range of services and structures of excellence, each of which sustainable and perfectly integrated with city living. A territory that represents something quite unique in the world, with its combination of renowned tourist destinations, food and wine culture, outdoor sports and recreational activities, mild climate and strong synergy between the numerous companies specialised in all sorts of dedicated yacht services.

This promotional activity revolves around portal www.genoasuperyachthub.com which, as well as presenting the services of the yachting agency, refit shipyard, crew hospitality, bunkering, ship chandlery, provisioning and marina, narrates the experience of living the city and its’ surrounding area and is packed with insider tips and curiosities and constantly updated.

Genoa Superyacht Hub fully represents the synergy between the two companies. Thanks to this collaboration, completely new service packages and initiatives have been created, ever more structured and exclusive, entirely dedicated to sector operators. Particular attention is paid to the assistance given to captains and crew during their stay: from health assistance to financial advisory, for example explaining

how to open current accounts or access funding, sourcing professional training courses and organising dedicated events as well as providing information about what to do in town in order to live the dolce vita.

For technical managers, the project proposes webinars dedicated to refit management, as well as fiscal and customs updates, involving international experts; for charter managers continuous updates are provided on all of the most interesting and novel visitor and cultural experiences to be inserted into their charter itineraries.

All the information the hub produces is always available to the yachting community via dedicated social media channels: on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and LinkedIn.

The launch of Genoa Superyacht Hub also coincides with the phase of full operativity of the new Waterfront Marina, a centre devoted to hospitality for large yachts, their crews and their Owners, created by Amico & Co by redeveloping part of the Darsena Nautica area at Genoa Port’s Eastern entrance.

A modern and innovative structure, that enhances and completes the selection available for those who want to choose Genoa as a home port for every season, perfectly integrated with Genoa Municipality’s Eastern Waterfront development, designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano. A major urban transformation intervention that will give hospitality to spaces and solutions designed to aggregate expertise and craftsmen from the yachting sector and the “blue economy”.

F1 Driver Charles Leclerc Gifts His Victorious Ferrari Race Car SF90 To HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco

April 2021 marked a ‘mini-homecoming’ for the Monegasque F1 driver Charles Leclerc, as the racer gifted his iconic Ferrari single seater F1 race car SF90 to HSH Prince Albert. This car was driven by Leclerc during his victories at the Belgian GP and the Italian GP in the 2019 season, a feat the entire Principality is proud of.

At the Belgian Grand Prix, started the race in pole position, and continued his dominance throughout the race, finishing first. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas finished behind in second and third position respectively. Leclerc’s teammate, Sebastian Vettel, just missed out on the podium, as he finished at a more than respectable 4th position.

Similarly, at the Italian Grand Prix, Leclerc started at pole position and finished at the same. Hamilton and Bottas switched positions however, with the latter finishing second this time. Vettel however, managed to finish at a mediocre 13th place, especially since Ferrari is considered to be one of the best teams in the game.

Considered by many as one of the best drivers on the grid, Leclerc was gifted the car by the Scuderia Ferrari team; and as a tribute to the place he grew up in, he then decided to pass on the present to the sovereign. The SF90 adds to the Prince’s personal car collection, or the Monaco Top Car Collection as it is so often called. The collection already includes a Porsche 928, 1986 Lamborghini Countach, 1942 Ford GPW among others, which have been collected over a period of more than 30 years.

Speaking about the car, Prince Albert said –
“It’s wonderful! I thank Charles very much for having made this gesture to us and it is true that it has its place here. It fits perfectly into the logic of the Collection, which is to present old and modern vehicles, which trace the history of the automobile and motor racing.”

The collection currently sits at the terrace of the Fontvielle Centre Commercial; and is currently closed to the public due to the Pandemic. However, when it does re-open, it will surely create a certain buzz.
